"Chris"

Chris has been buying, selling and trading cool stuff at Krazy Kat Music since day one.   No one really remembers exactly when that was, but sometime in 1990 sounds about right.   When not on the job he is usually out on tour with a band or compulsively hunting down some weird item for one of his many silly collections.

Most of his life Chris has been singing and playing guitar in the punk/new wave/underground/college rock/alternative/original music world.   Through the 1980's he fronted the band Lung Overcoat, releasing some records and playing with 80's stars like the B-52's, Public Image Ltd, A Flock of Seagulls and the Butthole Surfers to name a few.  In the 1990's, his band Thirteen played every dive bar in America and released several indy records including a major label single for I.R.S. Records.

It was during his early days playing music that he developed an obsession with playing and collecting old guitars, preferring big body Gretschs and anything with too many buttons.  Realizing that original music was as useful as his fine arts degree at paying the rent, he got busy on the guitar "trade-o-rama" at the guitar show (back when there was only one show!).

After collecting way too many guitars, Chris helped start Krazy Kat as a meeting place for other guitar crazed individuals.  It was also a good place to display his ever-growing collection of Eko's, Supro's, Teisco's and other nameless wonders.

Recently Chris has...sold off most of his guitar collection (including a batch of San Antonio made Alamo Guitars to Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top)...become obsessed with collecting 50's tin robots and space toys...started his own indy record label naturally called Compulsive Records and fronts a weird psychedelic art band called the Mechanical Walking Robotboy who's CD is due for releae in September 1999./p>
