Fender Super Six Reverb Amp 1970s $999

Well we all know that EVERYTHING was built bigger, louder and heavier in the 70s, but this is one Big Ass Amplifier! At almost 41 inches in height, we probably don’t want to ship it, but if you insist we can work something out. It has six (6) 10 inch speakers and it is set to run a 5 ohm load. The output transformer is the only thing that separates the head of this amp from that of a Fender Twin Reverb. As you can see in the pix, 3 of the speakers are ceramic magnet, 3 are Alnico. Go figure. Alot can happen to an amp in 30 some-odd years…Oh, did we mention: LOUD!

Electromuse Lap Steel Guitar – $299

This here’s an Electromuse Lap Steel Guitar. Electromuse is best known for manufacturing Hawaiian lap steel guitars. We believe this one to be from the 1940’s or 1950’s. It has a dark natural finish hardwood body with a clear plexiglas pick-guard and plexiglas nut. It has an “Eye-Beam” pickup, volume and tone controls and the cord is mounted through the side of the body. It is missing the handrest/pickup cover. The Electromuse logo is silkscreened on the headstock. It has some scratches and dings but looks very good for an instrument this old. All the electronics work. It come with a beat up “alligator” chip board case. Only $299!

Roland Jupiter-6 Synthesizer – $1499

Oh my. Oh. My. I (James) am absolutely ENAMORED with this piece of equipment. So, with my non-objective disposition already guiltlessly proven, let me gush about this thing. This is an amazing archetypal sounding analog synth. Blade Runner. Zombi. Devo. Orbital. Talk Talk. King Crimson. Blur. Goblin’s “Dawn of the Dead” Soundtrack. All these amazing timbres in one instrument.

Hyperbole totally jacked from VintageSynth:
“The Jupiter 6 is an incredible analog synth. All of the Jupiters have a sound that was unlike any other synthesizer and the Jup 6 is no exception. This sound is due in part to classic analog Roland technology in its filters, modulation capabilities and a thick cluster of 12 analog oscillators at 2 per voice. Easy and intuitive programming via front panel sliders, knobs and buttons for all your tweaking needs.

The Jup 6 is a scaled down version of the Jup 8 in terms of programming and polyphony. However the Jup 6 has some major improvements of its own such as newly added MIDI control and better tuning stability!”

The only thing wrong with this synth, cosmetically, is a bit of rust. You can see it all in the pics. The biggest spot is on the left side, about the size of a quarter. The left panel has some spotted rust too.

Besides the rust spots, the Jupe is in great condition and is fully functional. And it’s only $1499, which is a couple hundred dollars below current market value. It’s a steal. You know what, screw that, I’m just going to steal it. See you suckers later.

Martin 1946 Model 0-17 $1299

What a nifty little guitar this is! Sounds great, looks cool, plays like a dream. Oh yeah, and tremendously broken in. It does not appear to have had the neck reset, but the bridge has been replaced over the years, and the nut has been as well. This instrument has a large patch and three repaired cracks on its back, a patch on its side, and a really big patch and four repaired cracks on its face. The guitar has been refinished, the pickguard is long gone and one of the machine heads is not original, too. But that’s why we’re only asking $1299 instead of the $2300 that it books for. Yay! Roland took so many pix of this guitar, I feel I have to post all of them:

Fender 5-string Deluxe Series Active Jazz Bass MIM – $549

Here’s a cool bass for ya. This is an active 5-string Fender Jazz Bass. Killer sunburst finish. Features two dual-coil ceramic Noiseless pickups. 3-band active EQ. Plays and sounds great. Eastwood EEB-1 (Ampeg-ish) Scroll Bass – $529

Man, Eastwood sure is copying some cool old stuff. This one’s an Eastwood EEB-1, which is a knockoff of the old vintage Ampeg AEB Scroll basses of the 60’s, for quite a non-vintage price.

These feature a mahogany body with the way-too-cool F-hole cutouts that go all the way thru the body. Single super-growly humbucker (this guy’s angry), one volume, one tone. Ash tray bridge cover (sorry, no Ampeg helmet logo on this one). Grover style tuners. Sunburst finish. Unfortunately, Eastwood didn’t (or couldn’t) copy the scroll headstock of the original, so you get this odd-looking A-shaped headstock. Looks like an Amish barn construction meets a Travis Bean headstock. Weird. This one’s in near-perfect condition; it still has the protective plastic on the pickguard and pickup. Plays and sounds great. James likes it a lot. Comes with Eastwood hardshell case. Only $529. Czech it out!

Mesa/Boogie 1X12 EXT Cabinet $229

Can’t think of too much to say about this here little Boogie cabinet other than it’s loaded with a Celestion G12M Greenback Re-issue and is running a 16Ω load, not the 8Ω that it’s labeled. Can’t beat a Greenback, but beware that this is a 16Ω box. Other than that: Rock On!

SOLD! 1967-ish Alamo Challenger

Wow, that’s the ebb and flow I suppose… 2 Alamo amps in one day! This one’s a Challenger model, a little combo with big tone. This is one of the earlier, taller models with a 10″ speaker from about 1967 or so. Later, they made a shorter, more squat version with a slightly different circuit and 8″ speaker, but that doesn’t matter right now.

3 inputs, for, whatever, I don’t know. It’s just cool to have 3 inputs I guess. Single volume, single tone, master power switch. So simple, it wouldn’t even confuse a 4th Grade Dropout. Yeah, that was a Dillinger Escape Plan reference. They suck now.

Alamo Paragon Bass Head & Cab – $429

Look what came thru the door today! Such a cool old-school all-tube bass amp! 35 watts of killer tone. This is kind of a poor man’s Bassman. But this is even cooler for us loud-and-proud Texans, because these were made here in town, back when Americans actually manufactured things. Those were the days. If you need a killer tube amp for your home recording studio, look no further. This sucker SMOKES on guitar too. Just dime the volume and EQ, and you’re set, buddy!

This guy’s loaded with two 6L6’s and a 5U4. Cab has a single 15″ speaker. A little beat up, as you can see in the pics, but for a 40-some year old amp, it functions fantastically. Come play it today! TUBES! Only $429!

Squier “Vintage Modified” Telecaster SSH – $299

ANOTHER killer Squier Tele! This one’s a “Vintage Modified” model. Which is a silly name, because it is neither vintage nor modified. But, man, it sure is cool! This tele has a Duncan Designed mini humbucker in the neck, which, when you look it up in my book, it’s definitely in the “cool” category. There’s also a “Stack for Strat” pickup in the middle position. Reversed control plate so that pesky switch doesn’t get in the way. Very clean, plays great. Only $299! Come check it out today!
